Thunderchild super heavyby ~Durnstaros

Traditional Art / Sculpture / Models

A super-heavy tank modelled on the Baneblade chassi but fitted with slightly more believable weapon systems.
Closely resembles the classic Mammoth Tank, and I believe I was thinking about that one when I built this.

"Enemy infantry in the open, three o'clock, put a frag in them!"
Commander Farsin shouted, holding a hand on his throat microphone.
The turret motors whined loudly as the huge twin-gunned turret swung around, faced the crowd of fleeing Imperial troops and with a deafening bang Thunderchild fired one of its main guns.
"Good effect! Load another frag and rake them with the stubbers!"

I borrowed whirlwind launchers for the rocket pods plus a lot of hatches and other minor bitz to flesh out the turret.
Removing all of those rivets was a pain by the way.
