Chimera replacement -Tarrasque

Based closely on the Imperial Chimera but built using local technology and production techniques, the Tarrasque has very similar performance though it relies more on slug throwers rather than las weapons.

During the first days of the Imperial invasion, the Ylmaharian PDF was still using Chimeras. Attrition and simple wear rapidly exhausted the supply of vehicles that was slim even to begin with.
Lacking factories that could rapidly produce Chimera chassis, the Tervor tractor plant, at the time the largest manufacturer of tracked vehicles, was tasked with designing a replacement vehicle.
Based on the crawler tracks of simple tractors and a large boxy hull, it still bears more than a passing resemblance to its forebearer.
Though its turret mounted gatling cannon aproximates the multilaser used by the Chimera, it does use up its limited ammunition supply rather quickly.
Another drawback is its size, being much larger than the Chimera and similarly heavier.
Despite this the much wider tracks and a powerful engine give it better offroad mobility and the roomier interior is highly appreciated by troops and command crews.

Despite being bigger it is still slightly cheaper to make, involving far fewer advanced components and relying on a simple diesel powerplant rather than the complex multifuel engine used in the Chimera.
Another omission that cuts costs is the deletion of the permanently mounted lasguns in the hull sides, the crew only being supplied with hatches to use their personal arms through.
